Photography workshop

Germany
Baltic Sea coast

Wooden piers, wild beech forests and beautiful towns
The north of Germany and specifically the Baltic Sea coast is a beautiful piece of landscape for me. On the one hand, the Nordic wilderness, on the other hand, the peaceful atmosphere of seaside villages, endlessly long piers and white sand. Jasmund National Park with beautiful cliffs and beech forests. The Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula, the legendary Usedom or the fairy-tale Gespensterwald forest. And to top it all off, beautiful historic towns. In addition to the mountains, there is everything a photographer is looking for :)

Characteristics of the workshop

The workshop is primarily intended for photographers interested in long exposure photography, forest and city photography. Due to the nature of the landscape, this course is primarily intended for photography at wider and longer focal lengths. We will photograph with ND filters in the morning, evening, but also during the day if the conditions are good. We will visit beautiful beech forests and, if we have the time and desire, we will also visit one of the beautiful cities in this region.
You can be a complete beginner who wants to explore the possibilities of your camera, or you can be an advanced photographer who would like to understand composition methods or light work even more deeply. The course is designed for both groups of photographers. In addition, together we will learn how to use auxiliary equipment more effectively when photographing in the field (tripod, tripod, cable release, filters), we will explain the importance of planning and something I call "systematic" photography. Over a beer and good food, we will later talk more about basic and advanced photo editing (RAW editing, exposure blending, time blending, focus stacking, etc.).

Advantages of the workshop

  • beautiful nature and pleasant May weather
  • great variability of photo locations and the ability to adapt to the weather
  • good mood and willingness to explain and thus pass on as much knowledge and experience as possible
  • top accommodation where we always spend a relaxing evening taking photos
  • participants can borrow filters from VFFoto

Note:
The program is not fixed and depends on the given situation, especially the weather conditions.
In any case, it will be challenging: we will get up early, go to bed late, and there will be several transfers and ascents. And you have to prepare for that.
